Team usa Beyond medals

Gone are the days when an athletes comments and opinions were limited to their actions on the field or on the court. The USOPC/Team USA showed their support for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games Athletes and Para Athletes by creating a platform for them to lend their voices to the causes that matter to them. The broadcast spots featured Tommie Smith and John Carlos, gold and bronze medal winners, who protested the treatment of African Americans at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City.
